Mr Wee has been contributing to the development of SCS for over 7 years.

The Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) was formed by individuals from the Rotary Club of Singapore West, the Lions Club and the Jaycees in 1964. Being member of the Rotary Clubs of Singapore West for 27 years, Mr Wee said, “My involvement with SCS also gives me the great honor and opportunity to carry on the work that my Rotary predecessors started.” He lost his father to cancer 18 years ago. This loss also has motivated him to give back to the cancer community.

“As we intensify our cancer prevention efforts through upstream prevention measures, launch new initiatives, and expand our partnership, support from each and every one of you is crucial in making a huge difference to improve the lives of the cancer community. SCS can’t do this alone. Community support and partnership is therefore extremely crucial as we expand and strengthen our outreach to provide greater integrated care,” commented Mr Wee.

He added, “I would also like to thank all past and present Council members, Management and Staff, whom we have dedicated ourselves to serve the community to make a difference.”
