If I am detected with DCIS, what is the risk of reoccurrence?
Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS) is a non-invasive breast cancer. If you were diagnosed or detected with DCIS before, the risk of cancer reoccurrence or developing a new cancer will be higher. The chances of a reoccurrence, however, are below 30%. Please note that most reoccurrences happen within 5 to 10 years after initial diagnosis. You can also refer to the provided link for more information about DCIS.
