Tan Kwang Cheak

Mr Tan Kwang Cheak is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Singapore Cancer Society, a leading cancer charity founded in 1964 with a mission to minimise cancer and maximise lives through effective programmes. With over 25 years of experience across the public, private, and non-profit sectors, he began his career in the Singapore Administrative Service, holding leadership roles in the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Manpower and JTC Corporation. His last appointment in the Service was as Director of Manpower at the Ministry of Defence, responsible for the HR and National Service policies and systems for the Singapore Armed Forces and non-uniformed groups.

He then moved into the private sector as Senior Director for Operations, Brand Extensions, Business Planning and Human Resources in McDonald's Singapore, responsible for driving the business results of over 120 restaurants within the Singapore market. He subsequently served as Director for Human Resources and Talent Development at MOH Holdings Pte Ltd, the holding company for the public healthcare clusters in Singapore, before becoming the Chief Human Resources Officer at NTUC Fairprice Cooperative Ltd, Singapore’s largest supermarket operator with a workforce of over 10,000.

Before joining SCS, he was the Chief Executive Officer for the Agency for Integrated Care, leading efforts to support aging-in-place, empower seniors and clients with appropriate care, and transform the care community.

Geraldyn Lim

Ms Geraldyn Lim has been the Chief Operating Officer of the Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) since 1 February 2021. She helms the Community Engagement pillar, focusing on mobilising community resources of funds, friends, networks and mindshare, and rallying community participation towards supporting the cancer cause. Her foray into the social services professionally started in 2014 when she was the Chief Operating Officer of the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre. Thereafter, she joined Montfort Care, a multi-service social service agency, helming its corporate development and governance. Prior to joining the social service sector, she spent 16 years in the public service involved in international trade negotiations, diplomacy and economic development with the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA). She has been an active volunteer in various charities including being the Board Member of Beautiful People, a Programme Committee Member of BABES and a long-time volunteer befriender at Lions Befriender.
