Huda dedicates the Race Against Cancer and all other runs in remembrance of her ex-student, Kimberly Cheong, who passed away suddenly on 6 January 2007.
Recovering from a knee surgery in June 2007, previous runs were to overcome her physical challenges and as she hits 30 this year, Huda decides to make it more memorable by running for a cause. She will start with the 21 km Adidas Sundown Marathon.
Her runs will be in memory of the little girl who brought sunshine into the life of everyone who knew her. Huda hopes to continue Kimberly’s unspoken legacy to bring that smile onto people’s faces. Simply by bringing normalcy into cancer patients’ lives again, giving them a second chance after cancer to live with dignity, to ease low income families’ financial burden and educate the public about cancer.
She hopes to raise $2,000 in aid of SCS at the Race Against Cancer. You can now support Huda and her cause with your contribution here
