Flag Day

For once a year, every year, student volunteers from all over Singapore would congregate on a Saturday morning and help raise funds for Singapore Cancer Society through ‘Flag Day’.

With their donation bags in toll, volunteers would walk around the vicinity of their collection centres and solicit for donations while giving out stickers as a token of appreciation.

While Flag Day is primarily a fundraising event for Singapore Cancer Society it helps create awareness for Singapore Cancer Society and our cause through public exposure. With the efforts of student volunteers, Flag Day has been a continued success despite it being a one day event.

A community based fundraising project started in the 1950s by the Canadian Cancer Society, Daffodil Days is the celebration of hope for all cancer patients. With its humble beginnings in Toronto, it has since bloomed into a large scale project in countries such as Canada, USA and Australia.

Singapore Cancer Society, together with its partners, has raised awareness about cancer in our community through Daffodil Days. Show your support for Daffodil Days
