Daffodil Days 2010 – Celebrating Hope

The SCS holds its annual Daffodil Days – Celebrating Hope in February. Through this donation drive, we hope to raise funds for needy cancer patients and to raise the awareness of cancer in the community.

The Daffodil is an international symbol of hope for all people affected by cancer. The flower of spring was chosen because of its reputation as a hardy flower, pushing its way through the frozen earth after a long winter which symbolizes new life, vitality and growth. Daffodil Days has been widely celebrated worldwide for more than 20 years.

This year, we have introduced the Daffodil Hope Bear to spread the message of hope to all people whose life has been affected by cancer. Donors who purchase the Hope Bears can choose to keep the Bears for themselves or pen messages to be given to cancer patients.
