Some types of cancers are preventable and many cancers are actually treatable and potentially curable, especially with effective treatment in the early stages.
Screening, through the use of medical examinations and tests, helps to detect early signs of cancer or precancerous conditions before any symptoms appear. By the time symptoms appear, the disease is often at an advanced stage.

Screening has been found to be effective in the prevention and detection of early cancers such as colorectal cancer, cervical cancer and breast cancer. There is a wide range of cancer screening services and packages available.
