Why do people get cancer?
 
 

Cancer is not contagious like flu or chicken pox. You cannot “catch” cancer from someone who has it. Environmental factors play an important role in the development of certain cancers.

Cancer causing factors Associated with cancer of the:
Smoking Lung, mouth, throat & others
Chewing tobacco or betel nuts Mouth
Heavy drinking or alcohol Mouth, throat, liver, stomach
High fat diet Colon, breast

Cancer need not be fatal
