A Race to Save Lives -  Race Against Cancer 2015 (防癌义跑2015)

Taking place for the 7th time since 2009, Race Against Cancer is a rallying call to minimise cancer and maximise life.

Race Against Cancer (RAC) aims to raise funds for cancer treatment subsidies, welfare assistance, cancer rehabilitation, hospice care, free cancer screenings, research and public education initiatives.

No one should fight cancer alone - this event invites people from all walks of life to join in the fight and run alongside those who are impacted by cancer. Join the race!

Gastric Cancer Awareness Month

Gastric cancer is the seventh and ninth most common cancers* among Singaporean men and women respectively. Do not ignore the signals your stomach is trying to send you!

Both the English and Chinese sessions at the gastric cancer forum are now fully subscribed. We thank you for your participation and interest. Updates from the forum will be shared online and in our newsletters.

Eating Well During Cancer Booklet

This booklet was written to help people cope with eating problems which may occur because of the cancer itself and the treatment that has been prescribed. The booklet provides helpful information and tips to manage nutrition-related side effects.

Hard copies will be available with the SCS Cancer Care Kit at SCS and selected hospitals to newly diagnosed cancer patients and to cancer patients undergoing treatment from 1 June. You may also download an online copy.

Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) Screening

Colorectal cancer is the number 1 cancer in Singapore.Screening for colorectal cancer should begin from the age of 50 for those with no symptoms. The FIT (Faecal Immunochemical Test) checks your stool for blood that cannot be seen to detect signs of cancer. If you are a Singaporean or Permanent Resident above 50 and have not gone for colorectal screening in the past year, pick up a FIT kit!

The SCS Cancer Care Kit is designed to assist cancer patients and their families in making informed decisions when cancer is diagnosed. It also serves to give hope and encouragement to those touched by cancer.

Hard copies will be distributed to all newly diagnosed cancer patients at the National Cancer Centre, Singapore (NCCS), National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS), and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH).

Download the SCS Mobile App on your Apple iPhone! The app will soon be available on Android.
