Eradication of Cervical Cancer - Simply Getting There
Cervical Cancer ranks no. 9 among the cancers diagnosed in Singaporean women. Cervical cancer is a highly preventable and curable disease when detected early. The Pap smear is a screening test to detect potentially precancerous or cancerous cells in the cervix. This May, SCS and 136 clinics island-wide will offer free Pap smear screening to female Singaporeans and PRs between 25 – 69 years of age.

Chairity 2012 - Arts and Design Against Cancer
Chairity is a third-party fundraising project organised by BackRest in support of the Singapore Cancer Society. Chairity provides the platform for well-known local and Singapore-based artists, designers, art educators and media personalities to express their interpretation of cancer using Louis Armchairs as canvasses.

FREE Faecal Occult Blood Test (FOBT) Kits
Colorectal cancer is the top killer for men, and is the most common cancer in Singapore when the tally for men and women are combined. Every year, about 1,400 Singaporeans are diagnosed with it. People above 50 are at higher risk of getting the cancer. However, it is highly curable. Last year, 169 lives were saved through SCS's colorectal screening programme. If you are above 50, you can collect the screening kit FREE from SCS or selected Guardian outlets.
